Police and intelligence agencies are accused of forcibly disappearing a local journalist from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.
According to reports, a local journalist, Muhammad Usman, has been detained in Quetta and moved to an undisclosed location. His father confirmed the report of his disappearance.
Footage recorded by the surveillance camera from the shop shows where Usman was taken by police personnel along with another man wearing plain clothes.
It is worth noting that previous incidents have involved Pakistani forces raiding and harassing the journalist’s residence.
Enforced disappearances in Balochistan are common, with an alarming rise in such cases. Human rights organizations and activists have blamed Pakistani forces for these actions, although authorities often deny or remain silent on these allegations.
