In Balochistan’s Barkhan district, unknown armed men reportedly targeted a supply truck carrying ration to the Pakistani forces, resulting in the complete destruction of the truck. In a separate incident in Awaran, the Baloch ‘pro-independence’ group Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) targeted a construction company, resulting in destruction of its machinery.
In Barkhan, the forces’ truck was ambushed and set on fire after being shot at by unidentified attackers. The driver was released unharmed, but the truck and its contents were completely gutted. Despite a swift response from local security forces, the attackers managed to flee the scene.
No group has officially claimed responsibility for either of these attacks, though the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and other Baloch separatist groups have previously been involved in such operations.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for another attack in the Awaran. The group stated in a media release that BLF fighters had targeted a construction site in the Ronjhan area of Mashkay, Awaran district, on Sunday. According to the BLF, the attack caused significant damage to the machinery used by the construction company, which was working on a road project.
