Renowned social figure and private school principal Sharif Zakir Baloch survived an assassination attempt after being shot and injured by armed motorcyclists on Tuesday.
According to police, the attack took place in Kushak Malikabad, where assailants on motorcycles opened fire on Sharif Zakir Baloch. He sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to Teaching Hospital Turbat for treatment.
Sharif Zakir is a prominent social figure in Turbat and has been actively involved in the academic sector for many years. He runs Sachan Grammar School, a well-known private educational institution in the city.
It is worth noting that his residence in Turbat was recently targeted in a bomb blast. Additionally, just days ago, his young son, Kamil Sharif, along with a close relative, was abducted.
According to social circles, government-backed groups (commonly referred to as “death squads”) and Pakistani intelligence agencies are allegedly behind these incidents.
