The Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) held a one-day book fair in Mastung as part of the ‘Balochistan Kitaab Karwaan’. The fair took place outside Girls High School Mastung and within the premises of the Shaheed Chairman Manzoor Baloch Library.
The event featured hundreds of books on a wide range of subjects, with selections in Balochi, Urdu, and English. Topics included literature, history, culture, and poetry. The fair attracted a large crowd, particularly students, who explored the stalls and purchased books.
Attendees praised the initiative, stating that it fostered social awareness, encouraged a passion for learning, and broadened knowledge within the community.
Organizers told local journalists that the fair aimed to promote a culture of reading in Mastung. They highlighted that it provided students and other readers an opportunity to acquire books at affordable prices.
