The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released the final video message of Rizwan Baloch, also known as Hammal, a member of its Majeed Brigade, who detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) at the gates of the Pakistani military camp in Bela, marking the commencement of the Majeed Brigade’s “Operation Herof.”

“Operation Herof” was a coordinated offensive by the BLA, targeting key locations across Balochistan, including military camps and convoys, highway blockades, government installations, and resource vehicles. The attack on Bela’s military headquarters was one of the operation’s major assaults, carried out by fighters of the BLA’s elite unit, the Majeed Brigade, known for high-profile attacks.

In the video, released by the BLA’s media wing, Hakkal, Rizwan Baloch explains his motivations for joining the BLA and taking part in the attack. Speaking from a mountainous area, Rizwan pays tribute to “Baloch martyrs” and accuses Pakistani security forces of violent repression against the Baloch people.

“We have no choice but to take up arms to defend our land. The Baloch people have suffered for years under oppression, and I chose this path to protect our mothers and sisters,” Rizwan said.

He further accused Pakistani forces of mistreating Baloch civilians, particularly women and children. “Today, I see our mothers and sisters in a helpless state. They are standing on the streets holding pictures of their missing loved ones, while Pakistani forces disrespect them,” he said.

In a direct message to Pakistan, Rizwan declared: “I want to tell the Punjabis to leave my land. For our mothers and sisters, we will give our last breath. We will not allow you to continue your occupation here.”

The video also shows Rizwan inside the vehicle used in the attack, discussing his mission and acknowledging the involvement of a female “fidayee,” Mahal Baloch. “This is a message to the nation—a sister is sacrificing herself to pave the way for her brothers and is standing alongside them,” he said.

According to a statement from the BLA after the conclusion of “Operation Herof,” Rizwan Baloch, 22, hailed from Gwadar and joined the BLA in 2022. He volunteered for the Majeed Brigade shortly thereafter, a unit known for conducting high-profile attacks.

During the Bela attack, Rizwan drove the second explosives-laden vehicle into the Pakistani military headquarters. The BLA claimed that “Operation Herof” resulted in the deaths of 130 Pakistani military personnel. However, ten BLA fighters, including Rizwan, were also killed during the operation.
