In an incident in Balochistan’s Kech district, Pakistani forces reportedly opened fire on a vehicle on Thursday night, injuring its occupants who were then ‘abducted’ and taken to an undisclosed location. The shooting occurred in the Buleda area of district Kech, where significant numbers of security forces have been stationed for unexplained reasons.
According to local sources, the forces indiscriminately fired at the vehicle, resulting in injuries to those inside. After the shooting, the area was cordoned off, and the injured individuals were apprehended and moved to an unknown location.
On Friday morning, local residents found the vehicle at the scene of the incident. The car’s windows were shattered, and there were visible bloodstains, indicating the injuries to the occupants of the vehicle. Due to the heavy presence of forces last night, it was not possible to identify the vehicle’s occupants, and no official statement has been released by the authorities yet.
It should be noted that significant numbers of security forces have been stationed in the Gardank and Shurma Kor areas of Buleda. During this period, two individuals have been ‘forcibly disappeared’ by Pakistani forces. They have been identified as Murad son of Abdullah and Shaukat. Authorities have yet to provide any details regarding these disappearances.
The Balochistan Post could not verify whether the two detained individuals were the ones injured by the forces and subsequently taken away, or if they are entirely different persons.
