The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) organized a corner meeting in Karachi’s Faqir Colony to discuss the upcoming Baloch Raji Muchi (Baloch National Gathering). The event, held by the BYC Karachi Zone, aimed to mobilize support and raise awareness about the gathering set to take place on July 28, 2024, in Gwadar, Balochistan.
At the meeting, Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) leader Sammi Deen Baloch addressed the attendees. She criticized the negative narrative surrounding Lyari and urged the community to understand the system and mindset behind that perpetuates this narrative.
Sammi Deen Baloch emphasized that only Baloch national unity can end the ongoing genocide. Otther speakers called the attendees to participate in the upcoming gathering in Gwadar to stand against the ‘oppression’ and marginalization of the Baloch people.
The Baloch National Gathering, announced by BYC organizer Dr. Mahrang Baloch, seeks to unite the Baloch nation against ‘state oppression’, including ‘enforced disappearances,’ torture, and targeted killings. Dr. Baloch has highlighted the struggles faced by the Baloch people, including economic ‘exploitation’ and loss of livelihood due to state policies and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Dr. Mahrang Baloch urged the Baloch people to join the gathering to create a powerful collective force to end Pakistani ‘brutality’ and pave the way for a prosperous future for the Baloch people.
