In Balochistan’s Noshki district, a senior police official has allegedly barged into a house and shot dead a woman.
According to reports, Asadullah Mengal, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Noshki Sadar Police Station, barged into a house and opened fire, injuring a woman, who later succumbed to her injuries.
Family members of the victim took her body on the highway and blocked the Quetta-Taftan main highway in protest. The residents of Noshki announced a protest against the SHO in front of the Deputy commissioner (DC) office and demanded strict actions against him.
Locals told TBP correspondent that the SHO raided the house of tribal leader Haleem Khan Sarparrah in Killi Qadirabad and opened fire at a woman present inside the house.
It’s pertain to mention that an inquiry against the aforementioned SHO for unprovoked violence against the residents of Noshki is already underway.
