A 4-year-old child died due to the alleged negligence of the doctor in the Kohlu district of Balochistan on Friday.

According to sources, Mohammad Mir, a resident of Killi Faiz Mohammad Charmi, took his four-year-old son Mohammad Akhtar to Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Hussain at Amir Clinic in Model Town for treatment of fever.

According to the child’s father, the son had a fever, and he was taken to Amir Hospital where Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq son of Riaz Hussain gave him an injection — soon after the son’s health worsened, and he died.

The deceased kid was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem and later handed over to the heirs after the procedure.

On the complaint of the father, police registered a case and arrested two people, including the accused doctor.

Advocate Khalil Ahmed Marri, a social leader said that there are dozens of quacks and unregistered private clinics in the city where there is no system of checks and balances, due to which human lives are lost every day.
