A man from Kech district, Balochistan, has reportedly disappeared in Karachi after Pakistani forces allegedly detained him and his two sons during a raid on their house in Goth Mallir. According to sources, the man’s sons were released a few hours later, but there has been no information about his whereabouts.
The family of the victim confirmed the incident and said that the authorities took the man’s passport and two mobile phones during the raid. The sons, Hayat and Ameer, have been allegedly forced into silence by the security forces from disclosing details of Jalal’s disappearance at the hands of the forces.
Balochistan has been facing enforced disappearances on a daily basis this year, with reports of missing people and the recovery of dead bodies increasing. International human rights organizations have expressed concerns over the incidents in Balochistan.
