Pakistani forces have reportedly arrested senior political activist Zaheer Baloch on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr for participating in a protest.
According to reports, Zaheer Baloch was taken into custody from his home at 11 PM last night and transferred to Huda Jail under the 3MPO (Maintenance of Public Order) case.
His family has expressed serious concerns about his deteriorating health and has demanded his immediate release.
The National Party has condemned the arrest, stating that senior political activist Zaheer Baloch should be released immediately.
Meanwhile, protests are ongoing across Balochistan, demanding the release of Baloch activists and calling for an end to enforced disappearances. Demonstrators have expressed their outrage over continuous arrests and have urged authorities to respect human rights.
