Baloch Singer Kaifi Khalil’s famous track ‘Kahani Suno’ has made it to the YouTube World Global Charts, ranking at the 55th position among the tracks of music giants Shakira, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, and Jung Kook. Khalil’s track currently ranks 52 on the global charts.

Born in Karachi’s Lyari, Kaifi Khalil rose to international prominence after his hit song ‘Kana Yari’ with the Coke Studio, which was released earlier in 2022. It also featured Baloch female rapper Eva B and folk singer Abdul Wahab Bugti.

Taking to Instagram, Khalil thanked his supporters for his achievement. “Thank you so much for giving my story a voice! All my love and prayers to everyone who has supported me throughout my career”, he wrote.

‘Kahani Suno’, released in June 2022, depicts the pain of unrequited love and the wishes associated with it. Khalil released an earlier version of the song in 2021 and re-released it the previous year with slightly different music and vocals.

Pakistani singer Aima Baig also sang ‘Kahani Suno’ in her own unique style, but she was met with severe criticism from fans who argued she had butchered the song.

The song has also been featured in Pakistani dramas, such as in ‘Mujhe Pyar Huwa Tha.’
