A young man from Germany who went to his brother’s wedding to Karachi on December 2, went missing along with his friend at Jinnah International airport.

According to reports, 26-year-old Rehan Ataullah, came from Germany to attend his brother’s wedding. Rehan’s friend Ibrahim Ali, who came in his car to receive Rehan at the airport, but the two friends have been missing since then, Police said.

Rehan’s father told media that his son had gone to Germany for study 8 months ago, arrived at Karachi airport for his brother’s wedding three days ago and has been missing since then. He further said that attempts were made to lodge a complaint at the airport police station he was turned away because his address comes under the jurisdiction of another police station.

“The police personnel of Sachal and Airport police station were not taking any action, only moving from one police station to another,” Rehan’s father said.

Later the police official said that they have registered a case against the unidentified accused on the complaint of Rehan’s father, Mr. Ataullah and started an investigation. 

According to SSP Malir, CCTV footage is being obtained in the light of which the investigation will be taken further.
