Pakistani law enforcement forces of Police, Levies and Frontier Corps (FC) were targeted in militant attacks in various parts of the Balochistan. The resulted in killing at least 4 forces’ personnel and injuring a few.
Two people, including a Levies official, were killed in a firing incident in Dera Bugti district of Balochistan, on Thursday. The incident took place at Pehlaogh area of Dera Bugti.
However, the motive of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier on Wednesday night in Turbat Absar area of district Kech, unidentified armed men shot killed a police official and injuring another.
The deceased has been identified as Imtiaz son of Liaquat, a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) official.
According to sources, the two were sitting at their store when attackers opened fire on them.
While on Thursday, a patrolling party of the Frontier Corps (FC) was targeted in a bomb blast in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan. Two FC personnel were reportedly killed in the attack and one was seriously injured.
The government officials have not yet commented on the incident, neither the casualties have been confirmed officially.
The responsibility of the Quetta attack was claimed by a Baloch “pro-independence” group named Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
