A walk was held in Turbat city of district Kech, on Wednesday to spread awareness among locals about breast cancer. The doctors and nurses led the demonstration and the locals also participated.
Speaking at the gathering, Dr. Rubina Baloch, Assistant Professor at the Gynae Department at the hospital, said that the lack of awareness has led to the loss of several lives. She said that in order to diagnose and treat the disease, it is imperative to openly talk about it and take collective steps to put an end to it.
Dr. Lal Jaan, MS at the Turbat Civil Hospital, said that the purpose of this walk is to spread awareness among the masses about breast cancer. He said that it is imperative for women to know and understand the disease and its symptoms in order to treat it in time.
