The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) completed 4382 days of protest in front of the Quetta Press Club on Sunday. Awami National Party’s General Secretary in Ziarat, Abdul Khaliq Damar, politician Salauhddin Achakzai and social leader Qayoom Kakar visited the camp to express solidarity with the families of the Baloch missing persons.
Speaking at the gathering, VBMP Vice-Chairman Mama Qadeer Baloch said that Eid is an important festival in the Muslim world when people put behind their differences, forgive each other’s mistakes and come together to celebrate. But unfortunately for us, the Pakistani state has deprived Baloch mothers and sisters of happiness for the past two decades. He said that the Baloch mothers and sisters protest day in and day out for the return of their loved ones but to no avail. No matter which festival it is, they are always anticipating the return of their loved ones, he said.
Mama Qadeer Baloch said that protest for Baloch missing persons will continue on Eid day. He called on student organizations, political parties and human rights activists to participate in the protest and raise their voice for the Baloch missing persons.
