The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Monday that it has apprehended a Baloch “pro-independence” fighter associated with the Baloch Liberation Army.
The CTD said that, on a tip-off, they raided a house near the airport on Sukkur and managed to corner an individual associated with the BLA. The forces said that the cornered individual was trained in the BLA camps and then became a part of the organization.
The CTD said that the detained “pro-independence” fighter confessed to various “crimes” in custody, including attacking the Pakistani security forces. In the said attack on the forces, his associated Bahram Marri had been killed, the CTD added.
The detainee also confessed to burying weapons – including AK-47s, Mortar shells and an SMG – in district Kohlu in Balochistan, the CTD said.
