Ten days have passed since the disappearance of a young student from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan – his whereabouts remain unknown. 

As per reports, Balach Jamali, a young man from Goth Haji Mohammad Sharif Hejwani of Dera Murad Jamali, was studying at the academy in Quetta when he mysteriously disappeared ten days ago. 

According to Balach’s family, an FIR was registered in Shalkot police station for his disappearance. However, the family members have not mentioned anyone’s name in the FIR. 

Disappearances are reported on daily basis across Balochistan, while cases have been registered against Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies in several such incidents. Whereas, hundreds dead bodies of the missing persons have also been recovered in various cities of Balochistan, in the past.

Local and international campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces behind the enforced disappearances.
