A missing youth has been released in Gwadar after 18 months of incommunicado detention.
Salman s/o Akbar resident of Turbat was allegedly taken away by Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies one and half year ago from Turbat.
According to details, Salman Akbar who was “abducted by Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies” from Turbat has been released in Gwadar district and has reached home.
Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a campaign group by the victim families, has confirmed the recovery of Salman Baloch.
In last few months, multiple missing persons have been released, however, campaign groups claim the instances of persons going missing is at much higher rate than few releases.
According to VBMP, the issue of missing persons in Balochistan is becoming more and more serious, families of missing persons, political activists and humanitarian organisations have accused ‘Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies’ for enforced disappearances in the region.
Peaceful protests have been going on for over a decade under the leadership of Mama Qadeer Baloch and Nasrullah Baloch of VBMP, for the recovery of missing persons.
