Unknown gunmen have kidnapped six employees of a subsidiary company of Pakistani military near Awaran, reports claim

Gunmen stopped the vehicles during a night raid and detained six people in Balochistan’s Awaran district.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, armed men in Kolwah area of ​​Awaran district of Balochistan detained six personnel of a “Pakistan Army supply agency” and took them away.

Sources said that armed men stopped a convoy of vehicles going from Awaran to Geshkor Army Camp at Kolwah Madag Kalat and detained six persons.

The abductees, reportedly identified as employees of a transport company, are said to be from Punjab.

Sources claimed that the men belonged to a sub-agency of the Pakistan Army which supplies rations and other supplies to the army.

After the incident, the forces cordoned off the area and commenced a search operation. Military helicopters were also called in to help but the abductees have not been rescued at the time of filing this report.

Baloch armed groups are active in the area, but no group has claimed responsibility for this yet.
