Pakistani Prime minister unveiled “a new political map” of the country on Tuesday, which included Jammu and Kashmir.
According to details, The Pakistani cabinet has approved a new political map which claims the Jammu and Kashmir and a part of Ladakh as belonging to Pakistan.
Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan’s announcement came a day ahead August 5, a year since Indian article 370 revoked the semi-autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media, Imran Khan termed it a historic day, adding that the new map represents ambition of Pakistani nationals. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the new political map will be ncluded in the syllabus of schools.
A press release by Pakistan government has termed 5th August as “Youm-e-Istehsal and Ghasibana Qabza.” The press release has also issued directives to be followed on August 5.
The terms of use for Jammu and Kashmir will be IIOJK and not IOJK or IOK. The term to be used is Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and not Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir or Indian Occupied Kashmir, press released read.
In the note, all TV and Radio channels are directed to play Pakistani and AJK national anthems on August 5. “The presenters of TV channels must wear black solidarity bands and channel logos must be turned black to condemn Indian atrocities in Kashmir,” the note further said.
Where on other hand, India has rejected the new political map of Pakistan saying “These ridiculous assertions have neither legal validity nor international credibility.”
India said Islamabad’s move “confirms the reality of Pakistan’s obsession with territorial aggrandizement supported by cross-border terrorism”, Indian news agency said.
