For the past week, several persons from different parts of Balochistan have gone missing after the arrests.
According to media reports, Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies raided a house in Awaran district of Balochistan and arrested a young man and moved him to an undisclosed location.
The missing person was identified as Naeem s/o Pindok from the Malar Kahen area of Awaran.
It is to be noted that, thousands of Baloch people are still missing by the Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies, some of the missing persons have been released lately after years of detention but the bodies of a large number of missing persons have also been recovered from different areas at different times.
Families of the victims of enforced disappearance have been protesting continuously for more than a decade for the safe recovery of their loved ones but their everyday protest and one of the longest march in the region has not brought any positive results so far.
Whereas, an exiled Baloch journalist in Sweden has been disappeared since 2nd March this year and Rashi Hussain, a rights activist from Balochistan also went missing from UAE in December 2018.
In a statement issued by the National Democratic Party’s central spokesperson said that “a new series of Baloch disappearances has been started, first Rashid Hussain Baloch disappeared from the United Arab Emirates and now journalist Sajid Hussain has been reported missing from Sweden in March 2020. It is a moment of thought that the Baloch sons are now being disappeared from other countries and handed over to the respective institutions, which is a clear gesture of hostility.
