The Afghan officials say that latest shelling by Pakistani military has killed three children in Kunar province of Afghanistan.

According to details received by TBP, a statement released by Foreign Ministry of Pakistan “As a matter of policy, Pakistan does not fire across Pak-Afghan Border. Cross border attacks by Terrorists on Army/FC posts are responded to in self-defense only.”

Former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai has tweeted regarding the issue saying, “The Pakistani military’s attack on Kunar, which caused casualties among residents, is an aggression against our soil and a blatant violation of international law. I call on the gov’t of Pakistan to halt such acts immediately & to live in peace & dignity with AFG as a brotherly neighbour”.

Officials in Kunar Police Headquarters said the shelling also wounded 6 other children. The officials further added that a rocket landed in Dangam district killing three children and wounding six others, Khaama Press reported.

The provincial officials also added that the Pakistani military has fired more than 700 artillery shells and mortar rounds on Kunar in the past one month, reported Khaama.
