Six more persons have gone missing after military raids in different areas of Balochistan.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, security forces have ‘forcefully abducted’ six persons from Kech, Kharan, and Mand in Balochistan.

One of the abductee is a final year Medical student.

Abductions in kech:

Security forces raided houses in Turbat and shahrag areas of district Kech and abducted three people.

The missing persons have been identified as Shabir s/o Muhammad, Abbas s/o Rafeq and Shahzaib s/o jan Mohammed.

It is pertinent to mention that Shahzaib is a final year medical student of Bolan Medical University and was in his home town for Eid holidays.

Abductions in kharan:

Two Baloch civilians were reportedly abducted from Kharan Area of Balochistan.

According to local sources, Pakistani Forces arrested at least 2 more Baloch from different areas of kharan, Balochistan in an ongoing military operation.

The locals alleged that Pakistani security forces arrested and disappeared at least two Baloch civilians. The abductees were identified as Fayyaz Jamali and Shabeer.

In another in incident, a person named Masood s/o peer Mohammed was ‘abducted’ by security forces from Mand, area of Balochistan on Sunday.

The term ‘abducted’ is widely used in Balochistan to connote arrests made by security forces as the arrested are not presented before court of the law and instead kept in military camps.

International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the perpetrators of ‘illegal abductions’ in Balochistan.
