A Baloch missing person, who was recently released, has succumbed to his injuries inflicted during the incommunicado detention.
According to local TBP correspondent, a missing person who was recently released after severe torture during detention has lost his life here in a hospital in Turbat.
The Baloch youth Wahid s/o Umar was arrested and taken away by Pakistani forces on 21st September 2018. He was a resident of Teerandask in Dasht.
He was recently shifted to a local hospital in injured condition by Pakistani security forces.
According to hospital sources Wahid had several marks of torture including those inflicted through electric shocks on his body. He finally succumbed to his injuries today after his kidneys failed.
Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. However, recently instances of ‘women and children abductions’ have also been reported. Many of the missing persons have been ‘killed and dumped’.
International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the perpetrators of ‘illegal abductions in Balochistan’.
