A delegation of social and political workers visited VBMP (Voice For Baloch Missing Persons) camp in Quetta on Friday.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, social activist Muhammad Alim Baloch visited the camp of VBMP along with a delegation of social and political workers on Friday.
Talking with the delegation, Mama Qadeer, The vice chairman of VBMP said that Pakistan’s own history is an evidence of the violation of International laws for human rights, and United Nations should intervene in Balochistan for the peacekeeping.
The Delegation showed solidarity with Mama Qadeer in his camp for Baloch missing persons.
“I am glad upon the visit of UN’s working group to Balochistan, this shows that UN could not escape from the reality and considers Balochistan a part of the world where human rights are being violated by Pakistan”, Mama added further.
The camp set up by VBMP also completed its 3178th day, protesting for the release of missing persons on Friday.
the term ‘Missing Person’ is widely used in Balochistan for the persons who have been allegedly picked up by security forces and are not presented before the court of law and instead kept in military camps.
According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), the campaign group by families of victims, more than 20, 000 Baloch men, women and children are under Pakistani custody.
VBMP also alleges that at least 5,000 missing persons have been killed and dumped over last one decade.
