A man has been ‘forcibly disappeared’ after security forces detained him in Awaran.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, a man was arrested by security forces and subsequently taken to an undisclosed location in restive district of Awaran.
The detainee, identified as Dawood s/o Baago, has since not been heard from.
The security situation in Awaran district has been very volatile due to continuous skirmishes between Baloch pro-independence armed groups and Pakistani forces.
In last two days, four members of Balochistan Liberation Front and multiple personnel of Pakistani forces were killed in Jhao, another area in Awaran district.
Baloch human rights groups and political organisations allege that Pakistani security forces target civilians after attacks by Baloch armed groups, an allegation that Pakistani military denies.
