At least 3 persons were killed when Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Dasht area of Kech. Another man went missing from Pasni near Gwadar.
Military Operation in Kech
According to details, Pakistani security forces conducted a military operation in Dasht Gobarkarn area early in the morning on Friday. At least three persons were killed when the security forces faced resistance by a group of armed people.
The deceased were identified as Saleem Baloch s/o Yousuf Baloch, Zareef Baloch s/o Yousuf Baloch and Sameer Baloch s/o Essa Baloch.
The Pakistani security forces issued a statement and confirmed the incident. The statement said that the operation was based on intelligence received through secret sources.
Arrest in Gwadar:
According to reports, Zahid s/o Wahid Baloch was arrested by Pakistani forces from Pasni near seaport city of Gwadar.
Activities by Pakistani forces have escalated in the area since China announced multi billion dollar economic corridor by the name of China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Baloch fighters have continuously attacked the installations related to the corridor and term it as a tool to convert Baloch into minority.
Baloch political organisations have also said that CPEC has resulted in forced exodus of thousands of local people from Gwadar.
