The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released details of five fighters, including a patrol commander, who it said were killed in clashes with Pakistani forces in Balochistan’s Panjgur and Basima in August and September.
Its media wing, Hakkal, said two were killed at Phulabad in the Parom area of Panjgur on Aug. 19 and three in Basima on Sept. 7. The deaths had been announced in earlier BLA statements.
The two killed in Panjgur were identified as Zahir Baloch alias KD and Allah Dad Baloch. Zahir joined the organisation in 2023 and initially carried out “urban guerrilla duties”, supplying information to the group, the statement said.
“During his urban duties, he provided the organization with access to important information and timely updates on major battles against the enemy,” it said.
Zahir moved to the combat front in October 2025 after coming under surveillance and served in areas stretching from Zamuran to Panjgur, the BLA said, adding that he was appointed a second patrolling commander on the basis of his military and administrative abilities.
Allah Dad joined the organisation this year and was deployed to Parom, where he took part in attacks and patrols after completing basic training. His duties included operations to maintain the group’s control over trade routes, according to the statement.
The three killed in Basima were identified as Aziz Ahmed Sumalani alias Jahanzeb, Adnan Sumalani and Ibadullah Zehri alias Saqib. In an earlier statement, the BLA said the fighting took place during a five-hour blockade of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor route.
All three joined in 2026, the group said. Aziz and Adnan initially served in Nushki and were later deployed to Basima, participating in armed operations and blockades, while Ibadullah became active at Shoor and joined armed patrols after training.
The BLA paid tribute to the five fighters, saying they would be remembered for their roles in what it described as the struggle for “national liberation”.
