Unidentified armed men shot dead Abdul Rehman Langove, the Balochistan Awami Party’s (BAP) district president and chairman of Union Council Baghak, at his home in Noshki’s Killi Batto area on Sunday, police and local sources said.
According to sources, the attackers entered Langove’s house and opened fire. He attempted to flee but was killed in the attack, while the assailants escaped from the area.
Langove was known locally as a government-backed figure. No group had claimed responsibility for his killing at the time of publication, while the motive behind the attack remained unclear.
