Eight people were reportedly forcibly disappeared and others injured during a military operation in Shahrag, Balochistan, where local sources said Pakistani forces conducted house-to-house searches and detained residents.
According to local sources, personnel entered and searched several homes during the operation, while at least eight people were detained and moved to an undisclosed location.
Those missing include Haji Babu Dar Khan, Thor Khan, Haji Marz Ali, Ahmedan, Sabir and others.
Sources said two women, Sazen and Chamma, as well as several other people, were subjected to physical assault during the searches.
Chamma reportedly suffered severe injuries to her foot after being struck with a rifle butt, while her face was injured by bullet fragments during firing.
Sources said Sher Zaman and Aziz-ur-Rahman were also seriously injured in the firing. Sher Zaman works as a labourer to support his family.
Local sources said Haji Babu Dar Khan and Haji Marz Ali are elderly, while Thor Khan has a visual impairment in one eye.
Families and local residents demanded information about the whereabouts of those taken away and immediate medical treatment for the injured.
