Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti, son of the late Balochistan political leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, has passed away in Karachi after a period of illness, according to family sources.
The family said he had been receiving treatment at a private hospital, where he died on Thursday following cardiac arrest. His condition had reportedly been deteriorating for some time, and he did not recover despite medical care.
His father, Nawab Akbar Bugti, was a senior tribal leader and prominent political figure from Balochistan who held key administrative positions during his career. He died in 2006 during a military operation.
Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti belonged to the influential Bugti tribe and remained engaged in political and social discourse, frequently expressing his views on Baloch issues and regional affairs.
News of his death has prompted an outpouring of grief, with political and social figures expressing condolences and paying tribute to his contributions.
