Two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel posted in Balochistan were shot dead in separate incidents by unidentified gunmen in Lakki Marwat district over the past two days, police confirmed on Saturday.
According to reports, an FC clerk, Mirajuddin, was travelling on a motorcycle with his wife when assailants opened fire on them. The incident occurred while the couple was returning home in the Lakki Marwat area. Police said the FC official was killed instantly, while his wife sustained critical injuries. She later died while being taken to a nearby hospital.
Two days earlier, another FC soldier, identified as Attaullah, was gunned down in Marwat town. Police said Attaullah, also serving in Balochistan, was on leave and had returned to his native town when the assailants targeted him.
Authorities have launched investigations into the killings, but no arrests have been made so far. Law enforcement officials said the motive behind the attacks remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility.
