The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has accused Pakistani authorities of intensifying military operations in Balochistan, resulting in a series of enforced disappearances in Dukki, Harnai, and surrounding areas.

The BYC claims that dozens of Marri Baloch individuals have been abducted in recent weeks as part of what it describes as “systematic oppression.”

In a statement released on X, the BYC alleged that Pakistani forces conducted widespread raids in remote regions of Balochistan during the last week of December, forcibly disappearing several members of the Marri Baloch tribe.

“State oppression has reached alarming levels, yet these atrocities remain unnoticed by the media and international human rights organizations,” the statement read.

The BYC provided details of the recent disappearances, naming victims from Dukki, including Syed Mohammad Marri, Khair Mohammad Marri, and Abdul Nabi Marri. In Harnai, those forcibly disappeared included Gul Mohammad Marri, Imran Marri, Sher Mohammad Marri, and Safar Khan Marri.

Additionally, the BYC said that Hussain Bakhsh, son of Syed Mohammad Marri, was detained at the Pir Sahib checkpoint in Harnai while traveling. The total number of victims is estimated to be at least 16, however the BYC said that details about additional cases are still emerging.

The BYC accused Pakistani authorities of suppressing information from Balochistan, claiming that restricted communication networks and media blackouts have turned the region into a “black hole.”

The group alleged that families of the disappeared are denied media access and the right to protest, while state-controlled narratives dismiss such cases as “fabrications.”

The statement further condemned reported military practices, including the burning of homes, looting of livestock, physical assaults on civilians, humiliation at military checkpoints, and the discovery of mutilated bodies following enforced disappearances. “These actions are part of a systematic campaign to silence the Baloch people and erase their voices,” the BYC said.

The BYC urged human rights organizations to investigate the disappearances and other alleged abuses in Balochistan. It called on the Baloch people to unite against what it described as “genocidal policies” and encouraged families of victims to raise awareness about their cases.

“We appeal to the international community to hold Pakistan accountable for its actions in Balochistan,” the BYC added, noting that the region’s isolation has allowed human rights violations to persist unchecked.
