Pakistani forces forcibly reportedly detained a man on October 22 in Hub Chowki, a city in Balochistan, but his family reported the case of his disappearance on Saturday.
According to reports, Zafar Gishkori, an employee of the Department of Environment, was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces in Allah Abad town, Hub city. Since then, his whereabouts remain unknown.
Enforced disappearances continue in Balochistan. On October 1, ten students were allegedly forcibly detained by Pakistani forces in Rawalpindi. Last month, more than 80 people reportedly fell victim to enforced disappearances, eight of whom were detained from Hub Chowki.
Sources indicate that the actual number of disappearances may be much higher, as many families avoid coming forward due to fear and threats.
Meanwhile, protests continue in Pakistan and several cities across Balochistan, demanding the recovery of forcibly disappeared individuals.
