Protests against enforced disappearances continued in Balochistan, with rallies held in Dalbandin on Monday and in Chagai on Tuesday as part of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s  “Breaking the Silence: Standing Against Enforced Disappearances” campaign.

In Chagai on Tuesday, families of missing persons and local residents gathered for a rally organized by the BYC. Protesters held banners and photos of loved ones who have disappeared, calling for their safe return.

The demonstration turned into a sit-in, with participants urging international organizations to take notice and assist in the recovery of their loved ones.

Meanwhile, on Monday in Dalbandin, families of the missing and local residents marched from the Arab Mosque along the main highway to the Dalbandin Press Club.

Relatives of the missing and activists addressed the crowd, calling for action from authorities. “We believe in the judiciary, but our rights are being trampled,” they said. “Families are left searching every day, while justice remains elusive, and more young people continue to disappear.”

The BYC says the campaign was launched in response to a recent rise in enforced disappearances across Balochistan. Similar protests have been organized in Karachi, Hub Chowki, Khuzdar, Turbat, Panjgur, Kharan, Quetta, and Nushki, aiming to draw national and international attention to the issue.

BYC organizers say they will continue the campaign until authorities address families’ concerns and secure the safe recovery of missing persons.
