The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), both advocating for Baloch independence through armed struggle, have claimed responsibility for recent attacks against Pakistani security forces in the regions of Tump and Zamuran.
The BLA has taken responsibility for an assault on a security checkpoint in Asiyabad, Tump, utilizing grenade launchers. The attack reportedly resulted in casualties and significant equipment losses for the forces.
Additionally, the BLA has claimed a separate incident in Zamuran, where they assert to have destroyed security cameras and other equipment. The group has vowed to continue such operations until Balochistan achieves independence.
In a related development, the BLF has claimed responsibility for an operation that led to the death of an individual they claim was a Pakistani intelligence agent. The targeted individual, named Murad s/o Asghar, was allegedly attacked around 11:00 am on Wednesday in Tump. The BLF accuses Murad of aiding Pakistani forces in military actions and participating in the enforced disappearances of Baloch citizens.
Furthermore, the BLF alleges that Murad was involved with a death squad and engaged in criminal activities, including burglary, ransom kidnapping, and drug trafficking. The group has issued a warning that it will target anyone found engaging in activities against the Baloch cause. The BLF has also cautioned the public to distance themselves from such death squads and agents backed by Pakistan, as they may be targeted at any time.
