Enforcedly disappeared social activist Jibran Nasir has been released and has returned home on Friday evening, according to officials. The news has been confirmed by police sources, who stated that one of their teams will meet him soon. Following Nasir’s disappearance, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah demanded a report from the inspector general of police and instructed immediate measures to ensure Mr. Nasir’s recovery.

The disappearance of Jibran Nasir sparked widespread concern and support from various quarters. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, along with celebrities, journalists, and fellow activists, voiced their solidarity with Mr. Nasir, urging his safe and prompt release.

The initial report of Jibran Nasir’s abduction was filed by his wife and Mansha Pasha at Clifton Police Station. According to the report, Mansha Pasha alleged that a white double cabin car, a Rivo, which is known for being used by intelligence agencies in ‘abductions,’ collided with their car while another vehicle blocked their way. Pasha stated that approximately fifteen armed individuals from both cars forcefully took her husband away.

The report filed by Mr. Nasir’s wife, Mansha Pasha, at the Clifton Police Station, named unknown individuals as suspects. However, charges of abduction were also included in the report.
