Balochistan is currently going through what many analysts have called a “human catastrophe” – enforced disappearances show no signs of decline, thousands of Baloch missing persons have not yet returned home, and unidentified dead bodies keep surfacing at random locations. The Balochistan Post compiled a list of the people who were “forcibly disappeared” from different areas of Balochistan in the first two weeks of April.

In total, 24 people went missing from Balochistan in the first half of April. Additionally, 12 people were released, and one dead body was discovered.

The enforced disappearances were reported from:

  • Karachi: 7
  • Turbat: 6
  • Khuzdar: 5
  • Quetta: 3
  • Kalat: 1
  • Panjgur: 1
