Two young men were ‘abducted’ from their house allegedly by Pakistani law enforcement and secret services from the Khuzdar district of Balochistan, on Sunday.

According to reports, Pakistani forces detained Khalid son of Muhammad Hassan, and Asif son of Abdullah from their house at 2 pm in Khand area in Khuzdar and shifted them to an undisclosed location.

Sources said that both abductees are currently studying in Karachi city and have come to visit their relatives in Khuzdar.

The local authorities have not yet commented on this matter. However, the incidents of enforced disappearances have become alarming in Balochistan, where cases of enforced disappearances are being reported on a daily basis.

In the first two weeks of March, 34 people from across Balochistan went missing, of which 11 were recovered and three of them were found dead within two weeks.

Meanwhile, at a protest rally in Gwadar led by the women members of Haq Do Tehreek on Sunday — they demanded the recovery of missing persons and condemned the abduction of Mahal Baloch, and demanded her release immediately.

Meanwhile, the National Democratic Party (NDP) Shaal held a press conference in Quetta and informed the media about the educational and other issues in Balochistan, including the enforced disappearance and arrest of Mahal Baloch.

The NDP leaders termed the four-time remand of the Baloch woman as ‘torture’ in the name of legal action.
