The sit-in protest of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) completed its 4532nd day in front of the Karachi Press Club on Tuesday. PTM leader Khan Muhammad Sher Khan and leader of the Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh Saarang Rani visited the camp to express solidarity with the families of Baloch missing persons.
Addressing the gathering, VBMP Vice-Chairman Mama Qadeer Baloch said that the enforced disappearance of the family members of Sindhi rights activist Rustam Shar at the hands of Pakistani forces is highly condemnable. He said that the world must see that the desperate Pakistani forces are abducting infants now.
Mama Qadeer Baloch said that we will not be silent spectators of the tyranny being inflicted on Baloch, Pashtun and Sindhi people – we will stand shoulder-by-shoulder and fight for our rights.
Mama Qadeer also remembered activist Karima Baloch on her first death anniversary, saying that she will be remembered in the foreseeable future as a courageous woman who was killed in a foreign land for standing up for her rights. He said that the Canadian authorities have not made any significant progress to apprehend the people behind her murder. Mama Qadeer said that Karima Baloch was a strong voice for the Baloch people so the enemy tried to silence her. Little did they know that Karima is not a person, but not an ideology – they can kill a person, but not an ideology, he said.
