The Balochistan police reportedly raided the house of Baloch Student Organization Chairman Zareef Rind in Buleda, Kech, on Saturday. Rind’s ten-year-old nephew was killed in the raid whereas his seven-year-old niece was wounded.

The BSO chairman confirmed the incident on social media. In a tweet, Rind said that the “terrorist Balochistan police” raided his house at dawn when everyone was asleep. The police allegedly opened fire on his family which resulted in the death of his ten-year-old nephew Ramiz Baloch. His seven-year-old niece Rayan Baloch was also wounded in the raid. The police also detained his brother Khalil Baloch.

Rind, whose brother was killed in 2016, said that his house has been targeted repeatedly in the past. He said that police crossed all the limits today when they opened fire on unarmed women and children.

Rind said that we will not rest until the culprits are brought to justice. We’ve grown sick of shouldering and burying the dead bodies of our loved ones, he said.

Rind’s family has brought the dead body of Ramiz Baloch to Shaheed Fida Chowk in Turbat, vowing that the body will not be buried until justice is served. In a post on social media, Rind said that if the authorities do not file an FIR against the culprits, we will move the dead body to Quetta and eventually to Islamabad to protest.
