Two young men forcibly disappeared from Panjgur and Kech districts of Balochistan, in three days.
According to reports, A youth named Ahmed son of Khuda-Dad has been formally disappeared by the Pakistani forces from Parom Kalery Tehsil of Panjgur, on Thursday.
Family sources confirmed his abduction. While talking to The Balochistan Post, they said “this is the third youth of our family who has been taken into custody and disappeared by the forces, within a month.”
“Earlier, Faisal son of Dost Mohammad and Basit son of Khalid were abducted by the forces, in a house raid in Parom Nokband area,” Family members told TBP.
On Wednesday, another man from Garmkan area of Panjgur was abducted. He was identified as, Fahim son of Shaji Haleem.
As per reports, The youth was taken into custody by armed men in a vehicle. Local sources claim that the kidnappers belonged to the intelligence agencies and state-backed ‘death squad’.
According to Baloch political and social circles, the state have formed several armed groups which are commonly known as “death squads”.
Nationalists say that the forces have formed these groups to counter the independence movement of Balochistan, who are directly involved in kidnappings, killings, including theft and robbery.
More than 30 people have been reportedly killed in Panjgur in last few weeks. “Such groups are directly involved in killing these people,” locals claim.
This month, the forces have been accused of abducting more than a dozen people from different parts of Balochistan, whose whereabouts are unknown since.
Recently, Baloch National Movement’s Information Secretary Dilmurad Baloch, while releasing a report for the month of June, said that 19 people were killed in more than 50 military operations in June and 47 people were missing by the forces while dozens of women were sexually assaulted. Dozens of houses were set on fire and hundreds of cattle were looted, he said.
