Family of missing Hafeez Muhammad Hassni accused FC major of ransom

According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, families of Baloch missing persons continue to arrive at VBMP’s (Voice for Baloch Missing Persons) camp at Quetta as the protest for the release of Missing Persons gains momentum.

Family of Hafeez Muhammad Hassni, who arrived in the camp yesterday, accused a Frontier Corp’s Major, who they identified as Major Naveed, of taking 7 million PKR for the release of their son.

“Hafeez was picked up by the Frontier Corps from Dalbandin’s Kili Qasim area on 30th August in 2016. We were asked to come to Quetta, where Major Naveed demanded 7 million for the release of our son”, said Hafeez’s mother

“We crowd-funded for the money and sold our property to pay the Major, we paid him and he told us that we will get the good news in three days and we returned to Dalbandin, but a month has gone by and we have heard no news about our son”, added the disappointed mother.

She further said that they contacted Major Naveed but he asked for another five millions, which they could not pay and finally decided to lodge an FIR but authorities refused to lodge FIR against FC.

She appealed to the Human rights organization and government to play a role for the safe release of her son.
