Pakistani military jets bombed the Shaban mountain ranges near Quetta overnight, the second reported aerial bombardment in Balochistan within two days, local sources said.
Residents heard aircraft around midnight, followed by several powerful explosions across the mountainous area, the sources said.
There were no immediate details about casualties or damage, and Pakistani authorities had not commented on the reported bombing.
A day earlier, military jets also bombed the Dasht Goran area of Kalat. Residents said several houses were destroyed, although no one was inside them at the time and no casualties were reported.
The incidents follow an airstrike last month in Goandhan, in Surab’s Gidar area, where local sources said at least 22 civilians, most of them women and children, were killed or injured.
