The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) said on Sunday it had carried out two attacks on electricity and gas infrastructure in Punjab and Balochistan, targeting a power transmission line near the Sindh-Punjab border and a gas office in Dhadar, Kachhi district.
BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said in a statement that the group’s fighters planted explosives at a high-voltage transmission line in the Rojhan Chowk area on Saturday night.
The explosions brought down two transmission towers and severely damaged two others, the statement said.
The BRG also said its fighters targeted a gas office with explosives in Dhadar, causing extensive damage to the building.
The group said it would continue such attacks “until the complete independence of Balochistan”.
