The bodies of two individuals who had previously been reported missing have been recovered in recent days in Panjgur district of Balochistan, according to local sources and statements from rights groups.
One of the deceased was identified as Mehboob, son of Amanullah and a resident of Gwargo tehsil. Local sources said his body was discovered in the Shapatan area. Mehboob had reportedly been missing for about eight months after allegedly being taken from his home by unidentified individuals. Following the discovery, his body was transferred to a local hospital for identification and legal procedures.

In another case, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) said the body of Haleem Baloch, son of Muhammad Sadiq, a shopkeeper from Panjgur, was recovered on 6 March 2026 near Panjgur Airport. According to the organisation, Haleem had been detained on 19 February 2026 by armed men whom the group described as members of a state-backed armed network, and he had remained missing since then. His family later confirmed his identity after the body was found.

In the past month several bodies of previously missing individuals have been reportedly recovered across Panjgur district. In a statement, the BYC expressed concern about what it described as ongoing incidents of enforced disappearances and killings in the region.
The organisation called on international human rights bodies, including the United Nations Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch, to take notice of the situation and to support independent investigations into the reported incidents. Pakistani authorities have not commented on these allegations.
