The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani forces in the Tump area of Balochistan, stating that 15 military personnel were killed during coordinated operations.

In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters carried out a coordinated operation on 8 March in the Apsi Kahn area near Tump. According to the statement, multiple BLF units surrounded two sections of a Pakistani military checkpoint referred to as “Papa One,” located at the junction of Apsi Kahn and Shapchar, and launched an attack using various weapons, including mortars, sniper rifles, rockets, light machine guns and grenade launchers.

The group claimed that six Pakistani soldiers were killed and several others injured during the initial assault, which it said lasted for approximately an hour and caused significant damage to the post.

According to the BLF statement, the operation later expanded to include simultaneous attacks on three additional military checkpoints referred to as “Papa Two,” located between Apsi Kahn and Shapchar. The group claimed that five more soldiers were killed and several others injured during those attacks.

The spokesperson further alleged that Pakistani forces deployed a quadcopter drone to locate the attackers’ positions, which BLF fighters claimed to have shot down during the operation.

The statement also claimed that when a military unit moved between Abdoui and Shapchar to retrieve the bodies and evacuate wounded personnel, BLF fighters detonated an improvised explosive device (IED), destroying a vehicle and killing four additional soldiers.

In a separate incident, the group said its fighters set fire to two gas tanker vehicles on 9 March at the Josak Buleda Cross area near Turbat after reportedly puncturing their tyres. The BLF claimed the vehicles were transporting gas supplies intended for industries in Punjab.

The BLF said it was responsible for the attacks and the destruction of military equipment and infrastructure. There was no immediate confirmation from Pakistani authorities regarding the claims made by the group.
