The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released details of twelve fighters it says were involved in the second phase of its military campaign known as “Operation Herof.” The information was issued in two separate statements published by the group’s media wing, Hakkal Media, on 7 March and 9 March 2026.

According to the statements, the organisation has been publishing photographs and biographical details of fighters it describes as having been killed while taking part in the operation, which the group says took place last month in several areas of Balochistan.

In the first statement released on 7 March, the BLA disclosed the identities of six fighters it said were killed during the second phase of the operation. These included Saad Mengal (alias Shayhak) from Gidar in Surab, Inayat (alias Taokali) from Zehri in Khuzdar, Sohail Ahmed (alias Sangar) from Killi Jamaldini in Noshki, Fida Hussain Jamaldini (alias Aamir) from Kaddi Deedar in Noshki, Asmatullah Kubdani (alias Kandeel) from Kharan, and Fahad Baloch (alias Dayar) from Qaziabad in Noshki.

In a second statement released on 9 March, the group announced six additional fighters who it said had also taken part in the operation and were killed during the fighting. These were identified as Abdul Waheed Qalandrani (alias Dostain), originally from Shahdadkot in Sindh; Sohail Ahmed Bugti (alias Watan Zad) from Bolan; Waleed Jan Pandrani (alias Chakar) from Quetta; Faheem Mengal (alias Cobra) from Noshki; Muhammad Ashraf Mengal (alias Sarbuland)from Kalat district; and Pasund Khan Zehri (alias Khalid) from Zehri.

The group described the fighters as members of different operational units, including the “Majeed Brigade,” which the organisation identifies as a specialised unit within its ranks. The statements claim that several of the individuals served on various fronts, including mountainous and urban areas, before participating in the fighting linked to Operation Herof.

In the statements, the BLA said the individuals were killed during clashes with Pakistani forces in and around Noshki and other nearby areas during the operation.

“Operation Herof” has been described by the BLA as a coordinated campaign carried out in multiple locations across Balochistan. Pakistani authorities have previously reported security operations in response to militant activity in parts of Balochistan, though official details regarding the specific incidents cited by the group remain limited.

The BLA is an armed organisation fighting for what it describes as “for Balochistan’s independence” that has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks on security forces and state installations in Balochistan. It has been designated as a militant organisation by Pakistan and several other countries.
