Reports have emerged of the alleged enforced disappearance of six individuals from different areas of Balochistan, while the body of another previously missing person has been recovered in Awaran district.

According to local sources, Pakistani security forces detained several individuals during operations in the Minaz area of Buleda, Kech district. Among those reportedly taken into custody were Aali, Yasir, and Asif, described as young relatives of the chairman of the Municipal Committee Buleda and provincial minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi. The detainees were allegedly moved to an undisclosed location. Family members say no official information has been provided regarding their whereabouts.

In a separate incident in Absar Bazaar, Turbat, two teenagers — Munawar Akhtar, son of Muhammad Akhtar, and Murad Amin, son of Muhammad Amin — were reportedly detained during house raids. Relatives claim that Pakistani military personnel damaged property during the operation and mistreated family members.

Meanwhile, in Panjgur, a resident of the Tar Office area, Zameer, son of the late Nasir, was allegedly forcibly disappeared by armed men on Tuesday evening, according to local sources.

In a related development, the body of a man previously reported missing was recovered from the Mashkay area of Awaran district. Local sources identified the deceased as Fateh, son of Shahdad, a driver by profession and a resident of Mewar, Mashkay.

Fateh, whose dead body was recovered on Tuesday from Mashkay

According to his family, Fateh was taken into custody on 13 January 2026 while transporting passengers in his vehicle and had been missing since then. His body was reportedly recovered from Mashkay on Wednesday.

Enforced disappearances have long been a contentious human rights issue in Balochistan. Human rights organizations and local activists have repeatedly called for transparent investigations into such cases and for authorities to clarify the whereabouts of missing persons.
